How To Do A Castor Oil Pack

What is it used for?
Used over the lower abdomen they can;
Increase lymph and blood circulation to the reproductive organs
Shrink ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids and endometrial adhesions and help clear fallopian tubes
Help to soften uterine adhesions and scarring
Reduce menstrual cramps
Support healthy bowel movements
When should it be done?
If trying to conceive castor packs can be done every 2 or 3 days from cycle day 5 until ovulation.
If you have endometriosis, fibroids or ovarian cysts they can be done daily.
If not trying to conceive you can use packs throughout the cycle around every 3 days.
Do not use in pregnancy or if you have an IUD fitted.
How to make and use a castor oil pack
Can be done while lying on your bed, or watching TV.
You will need a hot water bottle, some clingfilm, a piece of cloth and some castor oil.
Soak some castor oil on to the piece of cloth and lay on top of a length of clingfilm.
Lay the clingfilm on top of the hot water bottle for a few minutes, with the cloth uppermost.
Now place the cloth directly on to your abdomen with the clingfilm uppermost and put the hot water bottle on top.
Cover with a towel and rest for 30 minutes.
The cloth can be stored in a sealed bag in the fridge and reused a couple of times before washing in hot soapy water.
